Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Oklahoma
I was wondering how to go about the ownership of my parents house? they are in their 80's and mentioned adding me to the deed. is that better than just transfering it to me. they do not have a will or trust. i only have one brother. do i need to go to a lawyer?

There are a number of ways to go about this. One method is to use a "transfer on death deed". In most cases this is preferable than having your parents add you as an additional joint tenant with right of survivorship or transferring the property to you at this time. However, I strongly encourage you and your parents to speak with an attorney about your specific situation and primary goals. Only then will you be able to get advice that is most appropriate for your situation.
