Legal Question in Workers Comp in Oklahoma

I feel I need another Attorney

15 months after the injury I finally went to court.During the time we were waiting for our court time my attorney found me and and told me that we should settle and not take to the judge.Well, I told him no, and that i would like to take to the judge.. Well, to make a long story short the trial was put on hold. My question is I feel I need to Fire Him, and is it to late to do so and get other attorney?

Thank you for your question. It is not too late to get another attorney if you feel that your representation is not up to par. If you are basing this decision on the fact that you did not get to trial on the last appearance, it may not be the fault of your attorney. If that is an issue you should discuss it with him to find out why it did not get tried on the last court appearance. The issue of whether you should have settled or gone to trial is your decision alone. You should also get a clear understanding from your attorney as to why he felt you should settle. If he feels that your case is weak in some particular he could be correct. Remember the more he gets for you, the greater his fee will be.
