Legal Question in Workers Comp in Oklahoma
What liability do I expose myself to if I hire a contractor top work on my home that does not have workman's comp insurance? He does the work himself and has one helper that he claims is contract labor not an employee.

You will have full liability if the contractor is unsured or he and his helper do not have proper or legal licenses and permits to perform the work. He can also sue you for injury caused on the premises if he is not insured and bonded.
