Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Oregon

I got fired for my job because I am pregnant. However, the company has less than 15 employees. Is there still something that I can do? I feel as though he was afraid of his image because he is a pastor and runs a small church out of the coffee shop on Sundays, because I am only 19 and pregnant. I'm from Oregon.

Generally, discrimination due to pregnancy is discrimination on the basis of sex. Under Oregon law, an employee is protected against discrimination by employers with less than 15 employees, whereas under Title VII (federal law) an employer would have to have 15 employees to be covered.

You may want to contact the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries, Civil Rights Division, for assistance. You may also want to contact an experienced employment lawyer for advice.
