Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Oregon
Ex-friend filed a small claim back in 2011 in the Oregon Courts, claiming that I borrowed money from him. Which in reality he borrowed money from me. He waited a month after doing this and then notified me. Just recently a Washington State Court just granted him promission to garnish my wages, which has not begun yet.
He is a inmate of the Oregon Department of Corrections serving time for ID Theft, etc.. This is all a scam to get money from me that he doesn't deserve and for getting back at me for stop sending him money.
I have letters from him asking me if he could borrow money from me and receipts showing that I sent him money. Which he never repaid me back for.
My question is "What am I to do to stop this scam and stop the garnishing of my wages before it begins?" I am running out of options and time. Please help me.
