Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Oregon
Divorce and Bankruptcy
I have been divorced for 1 1/2 years and have not been able to afford to have my ex-wifes name taken off of the home, boat, & motorhome that i received in the divorce. She is filing Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. Will I have to file on my home, boat & motorhome? If not will it affect my credit, Since they still have her name on them?

Effect of ex-wife's bankruptcy
Your ex-wife's bankuptcy should have no effect on your house, boat, etc, UNLESS she has some interest in them that has not been satisfied. Although her filing may appear on your credit report, you are always entitled to explain - that you are no longer married and that no joint liabilities were involved in her filing, if that is the case.
