Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Oregon
My father died over a year ago. His trust states that I am to receive property, however it has not legally been transferred to me yet. Property is in California and is worth $495,000. How will this affect a bankruptcy that I would like to do?

Legal Answers The bankruptcy estate consists of any vested right to receive property, even though not yet in hand. Therefore, since your father has died leaving you the property, the right is vested as it can't be changed and belongs in you.
