can i file chapter 7 on a loan that has a lean on my home?

If the "judicial lien" impairs your homested exemption it can be removed, subject to limitations for liens related to divorce decrees, alimony, and domestic support. The date the lien attached would also need to be after, November 6, 1978 or thereabouts.
