Small Claims Court
Well, there are two scenarios here. If the court date is to be prior to your filing, then if you don't show up, in all likelihood a default judgment will be entered against you; but the judgement/amount can still be included in the bankruptcy. If the bankruptcy is filed prior to the court date, then the court should be notified and the civil proceeding will be stopped by the automatic stay of the bankruptcy (it stops creditors from instituting/continuing any court action.)
