Legal Question in Business Law in Oregon
I own a cafe that is open until 4pm. My friend is having a b day party and i would like to have it at the cafe after i close. I would not be open to the public. I've heard that as long as the doors are locked and the public is not served then it's ok. Is that true? Can i throw a party at my business as long as the doors are locked to the public?

As a Franchise Attorney I agree with the other attorney's answer. This is a very common practice. Sometimes restaurants even close to the public during normal business hours to do private parties or catering events. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
