Legal Question in Business Law in Oregon
In Dec. 2009 my husband left his job and went to work for one of the competition. He had signed a non compete and they have sued to stop him from working. The lawsuit has completely ruined the company that he went to work for. Now his new employer wants to shut down and lay my husband off. There is no non compete with this employer. Can my husband join another competitor in Dec after the non compete is over and take his clients with him legally?
Thank you.

Any attorney will say a complete review of the facts and documents signed by your husband is required. When the non compete term ends, it ends. Taking clients is an entirely different issue. Consult with a good business attorney in your area for specific advice.
