Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Oregon
Contacting defendant's attorney
What are the legal ramifications involved with contacting the defendant's attorney directly to inform them of concerns of tampered evidence in the case that plaintiff's own attorney is unassessible or unavailable for an extended period?

Re: Contacting defendant's attorney
It is a bad idea, and probably can't happen. It is contrary to legal ethics for a lawyer to speak with someone who is represented by counsel, especially someone who is an adverse party. Speak to your lawyer with your concerns. S/he should make someone else available if gone for an extended period. Write a letter if the phone won't work.
