Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Oregon
Insurance after death
A friend of mine recently died. A few months prior to that, his daughter died. 3 days before that him and his wife were legally divorced. She has been benefiting off of her insurance for these deaths because she has kept both of the deceased on her insurance policy. I was wondering what legal action could and should be taken and what some good steps are so that this does not work out.

Re: Insurance after death
There is nothing wrong or illegal, if a person has an insurance policy on a spouse or daughter that names the person as a beneficiary. Divorce does not change the insurance policy.
