Re: landlords are harrasing my son and his sister

Ultimately, you will need proof that your children are not causing disturbance due to loud parties. I would set up a video recorder in their living room, with audio recording also on, pointed toward a TV screen showing a program that constantly or often displays the time and date (maybe the Weather Channel). The shot must also include at least a recognizable portion of the apartment, maybe including the view out of a window.

Get a long-playing tape (or memory card) and let the recorder run for as long as possible. This will give you a record that the apartment was not used for any loud activities during that time. Then see if the managers accuse your children of having loud parties during that time. If so, ask them to put their accusation in writing, with the specific times and dates of the alleged noise, so later they cannot deny making it.

You will then have proof that the managers are fibbing about the noise. This will be useful in any subsequent legal action.

Since I do not deal with landlord-tenant law, I cannot say what legal actions you should take, but perhaps others on this list will do that.
