hello, my question is : Would i go to jail if i slapped someone in the face because they insulted me ?

Slapping someone in the face is the crime of battery. Yes, you could go to jail, but it is not likely that a prosecutor would pursue the case, if you merely slapped someone. If you broke someone's jaw, then you may well be prosecuted.
