Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Oregon

residence rights

I am a Canadian witch who is now living in your country and I would like to know what are my rights pertaining to my religious practices. Witchcraft is covered under the first and fourth ammendment of your constitution I have read, but does this aply to all who practice?

Thank you for your time.

Re: residence rights

The US Constitution protects all religious practices which are not otherwise illegal and which do not have rituals which violate the law. Obviously a belief in human sacrifice, for example, is not a protected religious belief. Witchcraft may be practiced, and is constitutionally protected, so long as it meets those requirements. The Constitutional protections extend to all who observe the religious practices of witchcraft, so long as they observe the requirements of legality.
