Unfair Treatment by Police Department & Employer

We had company theft in Feb. 2001. I was prime suspect and told by company that all key people would have to take polygraph test. I took test and passed same and Police told me, I was no longer prime suspect. I have been with this company for nine years and in all my nine years, with all the thefts that have occured , To date no other employee has ever had to take same test and company refuses to make them do this.

Oregon law prohibits employers from directly or indirectly requiring employees to take polygraph (lie detector) or psychological stress tests. See ORS 659.227. Violation of the statute will subject the employer to civil suit and criminal penalties. Id.
