Legal Question in Technology Law in Oregon

Posting Information on craig's list

Recently My info (name, cell number and picture) was posted on Craig's list, an online national classified site, I first contacted the site and they promptly removed the ''ad''. Only a few hours later it was posted again with a new classified. Now I am recieving obscene calls non stop!! I'm in oregon but the ad was for the Las Vegas area. I have done a little research and have the ip address that posted the ad. I called the police dept. and they advised me there was nothing that they could do. What are my rights, can I press charges? PLEASE HELP!! I'm scared my idenity and credit is in jeopardy of being comprimised.

Thank you for any advise!

Re: Posting Information on craig's list

I have handled a number of cases like this with ID theft, impersonation and invasion of privacy.

Call or email me for further assistance. Key is to subpoena ID records of the poster with Craig's List, then issue a Cease and Desist Letter (usually from your Attorney), followed up with lawsuit and/or TRO/ Injunction.

My area is business and Internet Law.
