Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Oregon
I am trying to get an answer to a question I have. I have a tax debt, not a large one, but a stressful one. I will be going to my local IRS office in the first week of June, in person, to submit an exception in the form of a closed account check, to discharge a tax debt. I know how to fill it out and what is needed to be on the front and the back. My question is in the top middle of the check I have to put my SS#, do I have to put dashes or not? And, under the SS# I have to put my name, do I print it out with all capitals, or print it normally? I really need this answered, and to be correct, maybe by someone that has done it,or someone that is qualified, but all are appreciated. Thank you.

I'm no tax expert, but it sounds like someone has given you *very* bad advice.
For answers from people who actually are tax experts, I suggest re-posting your question under Taxation Law. Most of the tax lawyers who participate in LawGuru likely won't see it under Constitutional Law, where it is currently posted.
Good luck.
