Legal Question in Consumer Law in Oregon
bought a used car from a dealer in medford less than 24 hrs ago. in the online add it states "car fax available upon request with test drive !!!!" well i requested one and was given a "branded title check" and told no reports have been submitted for this vehicle. I realized about 12 hrs after buying car that it was not a complete car fax report only a partial. so i plugged in the vin # on car fax and up popped 13 records on file for this vehicle. can i take car back if something serious happened to the vehicle and i dont want it now because of it. i was promised a car fax vehicle history report and got a car fax branded title check so i was totally lied too and mislead

Yes, you can take it back. You were the victim of fraud by the auto dealer. You fully expected to receive a "car fax" that would identify previous problems with the car. The dealer did not provide that but instead only a very limited sort of "car fax" that only identifies whether the title has been "branded," which occurs when a car has been totalled.
The dealer may refused to take the car back. Then you can sue him in small claims court, as long as what you paid was $7,500 or less. Read http://www.osbar.org/public/pamphlets/smallclaims.html
