Legal Question in Consumer Law in Oregon

When buying a vehicle, once the finance agreement has been signed and the buyer has had the vehicle for a few days is it legal for the finance company to demand that the consumer returns to the car lot and redoes a whole new agreement simply because there is a second name on the insurance but they are not on the finance agreement? The reason i ask is because My girlfriend purchased an automobile last weekend and she is under my insurance , now that the finance company has seen my name on the insurance binder ( because i have insurance on my own car ) they are demanding that my girlfriend and i both have to be on the finance agreement. Is this legal ?

The finance agreement is a contract between your girlfriend and the dealer. Read it. It almost certainly does not allow for its recission, merely because her insurance policy has a second name on it. Thus, if the dealer does not go thru with the deal, the dealer is in breach of the contract.
