Computer repair

I took my computer to a repair shop to have them wipe the hard drive. It was working when I brought it in. 4 days later they called me and said that the power supply was bad so I gave permission for them to replace it. 1 week later I called to check on it and they said the motherboard went bad. Everything was working when I took it to them and now all I have is a big paperweight. Do I have any legal recourse?

Yes, in small claims court. The repair shop may be able to prove that they did nothing to damage the computer and it broke on its own, or that it was broken to begin with.

You'll dispute this. The judge will make a decision based on the best evidence.

Also try to work it out, instead of wasting time and money in small claims court see if the repair shop will give you a replacement at discounted price, something that might be a win/win for both parties.
