Legal Question in Consumer Law in Oregon

I purchased a street bike ,title was signed over to me I neglected to notice the bank lien on the front of the title i have bill of sale and signed off title ,but also a bank to contend with.Seller will not contact me .What recourse do I have?

You could file a lawsuit in small claims court for up to $7,500 against the seller for fraud, contending that he told you there were no liens on the bike. But it would be hard to prove that you were fooled by the seller, because the title itself shows the bank lien (and you are assumed to have read such an important document). If you file the lawsuit, maybe seller will offer you some money just to get out of it.
