Legal Question in Consumer Law in Oregon
I have recently purchased a vehicle online through ebay and the vehicle arrived with catastrophic engine failure. I am not able to reach a solution with the seller or ebay. Do I have any legal action here on the basis of misrepresentation?

Yes, you can sue the seller for misrepresentation. But you would have to show that the seller told you that the vehicle was in operable condition. Also, you would have to retain an attorney where the seller is located. Although you could sue the seller in Oregon (and probably obtain a judgment by default, when the seller does not show up in court), you would then have to register that Oregon judgment in the state where the seller has assets and try to impose liens on those assets. That pretty much requires a local attorney where the seller lives.
