Legal Question in Consumer Law in Oregon

Retail Buyer's Order

I have a signed Retail Buyer's Order for a new car. The Contract Payment states I owe one payment (the full price of the car)on or before October 2nd. I have possession of the car and the means to make the payment in full.

My question is: Can the dealer force me to make the payment before October 2nd? The salesman and I had a ''verbal'' agreement that I would deliver the payment August 22nd. After reading over and signing the Buyer's Order I realized my payment is not due until October 2nd. I would like to take advantage of this extra time to search for better financing rates?

Is this all legal?

Re: Retail Buyer's Order

If the written contract says one payment due October 2, that controls over any alleged oral contract.
