Legal Question in Consumer Law in Oregon
Warranty Issue
I bought a rebuilt engine from Cylinder Head Specialties out of Portland, Oregon, with a 7 year, 70,000 mile warranty on it. I had it installed by professionl mechanics (Cascade Motors, The Dalles, OR) I replaced all parts that was recommended to be replaced by the company. Within 800 miles the engine started makine a knocking noise. My mechanic investigated the noise and determined it to be lifters. 2 mecanics looked at the lifters and said they did not appear to be new. The company gave new lifters but didn't pay for the labor. Now with only 4000 miles on the engine it started loosing water. My mechanic said it had a bad head gasket. The company wanted all the parts sent to them. Now they say the engine was over heated and they will not pay to fix it. This engine only has 4000 miles on it and has had problems twice. My mechanic looked at the heat tabs and said the engine had not been over heated. He even had one of the other mechanics look at the heat tabs on the head. When I tried to call the company, (and I was polite) the guy on the other end of the phone said my mechanic was a ''dumb ass'', and when I said ''wow, that was nice'', the guy said, ''nice hun, you're a dumb ass too''. Do I have any options?

Re: Warranty Issue
I understand that you carefully re edited your question. The problem with your question is that your cause of action arose in OREGON, not Washington. You need an OREGON attorney to answer this and advise you.
