Judgement

I won a judgment against an individual for $23,000 at 9%

interest annually, how do i collect

the money, or garnish his wages? I

live in New York and won the case

in Portland Oregon.

Re: Judgement

If the Judgment is not based on a default, you must obtain a certified copy of the transcript of judgment from Oregon and file the transcript in the County where the defendant resides.

If the Judgment is based on default, you must commence an action against the defendant to enforce the Judgment.

You don't mention in your post the most critical piece of info. -- which is where is the defendant and his or her assets located.

If in NY that is one thing and if in Oregon that is another.
