Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Oregon
Recent car purchase
My father bought a car at a set price and interest rate. the dealership called a few days later saying that he could no longer give us the loan at that rate. they checked my father's credit and approved the loan at the time of purchase. are they allowed to change their minds after we signed all the papers and already paid the down payment?

Re: Recent car purchase
No. Tell them to go pound sand, you are not returning the car, and they had damn well better honor the deal or you will see them in court. Or better, give an attorney $50-100 to write the letter on his or her letterhead.
