Legal Question in Criminal Law in Oregon
Father out for revenge for daughter daiting older man.
Male 25 meets girl, senior in high school and become friends. We
have fallen in love. We have had sex before she was 18. She is
now 18 and her Dad found out about us dating. There is no proof
of us having sex before she was 18th. Father lied to her and said
that he wanted to meet me and he would allow her to continue to
see me. It was a setup. He yelled at me and called me a sic
individual and pedo. I have never dated a person of this age
before. Father threatened me and made me SWEAR that I would
never contact her again otherwise he would �F� with my life, �call
my employer� call my family and make my life a living hell. He was
very threatening and I felt I was physically in danger. Wife was
outraged at his actions and I hear he continued to Threaten me
and his daughter by saying he would call the cops on me if she
contacted me or if I contacted her. Questions are, Can I be found
guilty of a sex crime, when she is now 18years old and would not
even think about cooperating with any prosecutor? The sex
occurred approx two � three months before her 18 bday. What can
he do if anything to �F� with my life? Do I have any recourse
against his �allegations and threats� if needed down the road?

Now there's proof of this communication on your computer. Don't speak a word of this to anyone except a lawyer. You can still be prosecuted for having sex with a minor and you would probably be subject to sex offender registration. Beware of anyone who tries to draw you into a conversation about the subject, especially over the telephone because they could be recording your statements. Once she's 18, she's an adult and it doesn't matter her partner is 18 or 80.
