Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Oregon

"fired for what?"

I worked for a security company ,when i was hired on i was told that "they needed a black officer to work in portland or.area,no biggy i started the job thinking ,because i was told, i would be paid 10.00 a hour well that didnt happen. no big deal i kept the job, because i realy liked it ,well i worked for these people for 2 years ,and in those 2 years i was called the big CENSORED ,i allso had a friend who was called a skinny CENSORED by the owners of this company. well 1 day i was asked by the owner" do you want to be the smart black man or the dumb CENSORED" well that did it for me ,to make a long story short, i was fired for opossing it ,do i have a chance at winning a judgement against them for what they did to me? and whats my odds of winning in a federal court vs. state?

Re: fired

If you can convince a jury that the events and racial language abuse you describe occurred you have a case. You must first make a BLI/EEOC complaint. Next step is court. Federal Court is usually a more expensive forum and for that reason I would usually choose state court. Others like Federal Court better.
