statute of limitations

Id like to know if their are statute of limitations on duii convictions.ive been convted & went through diversion but havent paid the fine,whitch i plan on doing, the problem is the diversion program i went to was closed do to some illegal stuff they did & the ceo of that program is on the lamb,i need a certificate of completion & cant find one do to the progrm closure,this duii occured in 1990 10 yrs ago,the court is trying to make me do diversion over,after 10 yrs can they do that or is their a s. o.l. thank u very much

The statute of limitations applies only to when you are charged with the offense. Once the criminal complaint is filed, the statute "tolls" (stops running). Since you have already been convicted, the S/L tolled well before then. As for the DMV, there is no S/L on compliance with requirements for driver's licensing.

The statute of limitations for this offense does not apply to you. You have already been convicted. You will likely have to complete a new program in order to bein compliance.
