Legal Question in Elder Law in Oregon

Revocation of POA/Reassignment

Is there any way to stop someone who may be commiting fraud on an elderly person if they hold a Durable POA on that person? Mom has dementia and doesn't understand what he's been doing.

Re: Revocation of POA/Reassignment

There are a variety of ways of dealing with this kind of a problem, but most are not "self-help" type methods. The ways could include filing for an Elder Abuse Restraining Order, or obtaining a Conservatorship over the elder.

You need to consult with an attorney, who can go over your specific facts and, based on those facts, recommend a course of action.

Our office offers an low cost initial consultations in elder law matters.
