Legal Question in Family Law in Oregon
Annolment or Divorce?
My son just got married to a woman in the Navy. They were only able to spend 2 days together after the wedding. Then she was sent back to the Navy. It has been just over 1 month, and she came back home to see her family and husband. She has feelings for another man, and is talking about leaving my son to be with this new guy. If she does this, would my son get a divorce or an annolment? They have only been together a few days since the wedding a month ago.

Re: Annolment or Divorce?
There appears nothing illegal or improper with the marriage. There is no basis for annullment. So it has to be a divorce.
But it both parties are in agreement to make it an annullment rather than a divorce, a little creative lawyering will most likely be able to get the case processed in that manner.
