Re: Child choosing who they want to live with

QUESTION:

When can a child for the state of Oregon choose who they want to live with?

ANSWER:

When the child attains age 18 and ceases to be a "child" in the eyes of the law. Until then, in the case of divorced parents, the decision as to which parent the child resides with is left up to the parents, if they can reach mutual agreement, or a judge if they cannot.
