Legal Question in Family Law in Oregon
Child
The father and I took our son to his sisters when he was a baby with the terms being that when I got back on my feet he would come home. I have witnesses to this the only thing I have signed is gardeonship papers. They have refused contact and we want our son back. They say they have adopted him although I don't know how without my premition. I want to know if I can just go get him or do I need custody papers to get him back?

Re: Child
You have two potential problems: 1. If there is a valid guardianship in place, you will need to take legal steps to set that aside. 2. You need to dig around and see if in fact an adoption proceeding was filed. For both of these, you should consult with an attorney.
