Re: Custody

If you and your ex girlfriend are both in agreement, the only paper you need (if any) is simply a handwritten statement, signed by both of you, the says WE HEREBY AGREE to SHARE custody of our 2-year-old daughter, [insert name of child], pursuant to the following terms:

[Daughter] will be with father as follows:

[insert schedule for father], plus such additional times as the parties may from time to time mutually agree. This will be considered as parenting time for father.

[Daughter] will be with mother at all times other than that specified above as father's parenting time. This will be considered as parenting time for mother.

And that should do it. Make two duplicate originals, one to be retained by each party.
