Legal Question in Family Law in Oregon

divorce and credit card debt

My husband and I are about to file for divorce. I have agreed to state that I will take resposibility for half of our credit card debt. My mother is about to receive a large (well, for her) amount of money that will help keep her living comfortably through retirement. She's disabled.. He knows this...is there any way he can try to get his hands on her money? I'm so scared he might try to drag her into this. We own no propert and have no children. We live in Oregon.
