Legal Question in Family Law in Oregon

Divorce?

I found out that I was not actually divorced from my first wife when I married my second wife(now separated). I have found a woman I would like to marry, do I need to file for a divorce from my second wife or is/was that marriage ever even valid?

ANSWER:

The second was invalid and unlawful because you were already marriage. To "set the record straight" you now need to marriage #2 annulled. It is a marriage that is "void ab initio," meaning "void from the beginning."
