Divorce and Land

A female residing in Kansas was divorced while jointly owning property with her husband in Oregon. The property was sold after the divorce and her husband has since died. Who does the property belong to? Does she own her 50%, does she now own 100%, or does the trust own 50% with her owning 50%?

YOUR QUESTION:

A female residing in Kansas was divorced while jointly owning property with her husband in Oregon. The property was sold after the divorce and her husband has since died. Who does the property belong to? Does she own her 50%, does she now own 100%, or does the trust own 50% with her owning 50%?

ANSWER:

If the property was sold after the divorce, it now belongs to whoever it is who bought it from the seller(s).
