Legal Question in Family Law in Oregon
Divorce
In Oregon, very approximately, what would be the spousal support be for a 24 year marriage where the wife has no source of income and the husband makes $57,000.00 per year. There is no savings or retirement funds. There is a house with equity of around $45,000 dollars. I would be willing to give her all the equity in the house to lessen spousal support.

Re: Divorce
There is no set formula for determining spousal support. It is a very fact specific analysis. One way to lesser your support amount would be to make a partial lump sum payment by waiving your interest in the house equity. A simple consultation with an attorney would provide you with information regarding the laws of Oregon and spousal support.
