Legal Question in Family Law in Oregon

if my former domestic partner and i are no longer together and he has moved to a different state, does the domestic partnership need to be dissolved? it was originally obtained for insurance purposed and neither of us are on that insurance now.

If what you are involved in is a same-sex REGISTERED OREGON DOMESTIC PARTNERSHIP, than yes, it needs to be formally dissovled, the same as dissolution of a marraige.

I you are referring to is anop[posite-sex domestic partnership, or a same-sex partnership that is not a "Registered Domestic Partnership," there is no legal entity to be "dissolved." So no need for any legal action.
