so I am trying to find the forms I need so that the non custodial parent can sign over his rights he hasn't paid child support in over a year and my husband wants to adopt him can you help me find what i need

ANSWER:

The document that is needed is a Consent for Adoption. This would have to be formally done as part of the step-parent adoption proceeding. For Oregon step-parent adoption cases, there is no "standard form" Consent to Adoption. The consent form is custom tailored for the specific adoption case involved, along with a number of other forms. It is best to utilize the services of a lawyer for such an adoption, as you really need to make sure that it is done correctly and completely. You do not want to mess up an adoption.
