Legal Question in Family Law in Oregon

Hello Law Gurus,

In my divorce, done on state forms by myself and uncontested, there are 2 items that my Ex owes payment on. One is child support; I have full custody of our 2 girls, my Ex is to pay the minimum according to the state calculator ($337/mo). This has been paid sporadically over the last 5 1/2 years, but this is being handled by Child Support Services and the courts (current arrears approx $13000).

The second debt is my Ex's share of the family debt. This was written into the divorce papers and my Ex's share (of several items: ie credit cards, personal loans, cell phone contract) was $5442, to be paid to me at $189/mo while I paid the creditors, until paid off.

These are on a Judgment General Creates Lien: Child Support $337/mo and Judgment $189/mo.

My Ex has made no payments towards the Debt Judgment, I have made the payments so there are no issues from creditors.

My question is: Is there time constraints / limits to recover this $5442 Judgment?

Should I just let this Judgment sit for now, concentrating on dealing with the Child Support issue and worry about it afterwords? My Ex has no property to attach a lien to and with the non-payment of Child Support I don't see going after this right now. I just don't want the Judgment to lapse due to time or my not following up on recovering it. If the payments had been made according to the payment schedule in divorce decree then it would have been done by Nov 07.

Thanks for your time on this.

Cannot intelligently answer your question w/o first examine the General Judgment of Dissolution of Marriage, together with the court print-out showing date of entry, etc.

If you wish to proceed, an office conference would be needed. And I would impose a $100 fee for case review, legal evaluation, and counsel and advice. Please call should you wish to proceed.
