Legal Question in Family Law in Oregon

I was married for 24 years to my ex-husband. I understand that half of his pension and social security benefits apply to me also. Is this true? I also understand that this option dissolves if I re-marry, is this true? And is there any impact on these options if I now live in a different state than he does at this time, or than at the time we were married? Does his status of re-marriage have an effect on this also?
