if you marry someone who has a child to whom the man has all legal rights, are you then the legal mother to the child? or would you have to adopt the child?

ANSWER:
If you marry someone who has a child to whom the man has all legal rights, you do NOT automatically become the legal mother to the child. Since you did not give birth to the child, you would have to adopt the child in order to become the child's legal mother.
