Legal Question in Family Law in Oregon

Medical Bills

Hi, I'd like to add extra money to my monthly obligation to help cover some medical expenses until I've paid my half of the bill. I would like it to go through the State in order to recieve credit towards my rears. Why wouldn't this be ok? Please advise.

Re: Medical Bills

If you are referring to court ordered payment of medical bills, which are paid to the other parent, you must be careful. Any additional payment of medical bills must be clearly denoted when the payment is made. Using two checks one for the regular payment and a second for the additional payment would make it easier to show that you made the extra payment and that the other parent was aware of that fact.
