can i as a grandmother legal go and get my grandchild from where ever she is even home if i feel that she is h arms way by her mother & stepfather.

A:

NO..... You are NOT the child's parent. Indeed, in the eyes of the law, you are a NONparent as to this child. Makes no difference whether you are the child's grandmother, aunt, next-door neighbor, or whatever. Bottom line: This is NOT your child, however else you may be interested or related.

If the child is in danger, call 911 if an emergency. Otherwise, call the local Child Protective Services agency and make a report. But you do not have any legal authority to simply go get somebody else's child (at least not without the consent of the child's parent).
