Legal Question in Family Law in Oregon
In Oregon, I was ordered to pay spousal support for eight years, which was to end in 2008. In 2006, still owing 2 years support, I was financially unable to continue payments. In 4 years, my ex-wife has not once mentioned the stoppage of payments. Can I have the judgement vacated?

By operation of law (unless there was a modification of the originally-established eight-year obligation), the eight-year obligation came to an end and stopped accruing in 2008. Thus, no need to get the judgment vacated. However, any unpaid installments that fell due prior to the expiration of eight-year obligation would continue to remain enforceable until paid (and would be accruing interest).
