QUESTION:

Can a person take a parenting class in Idaho and have it be recognized as the required parenting class for Oregon in order to engage in Mediation?

ANSWER:

Yes. But you should first get advance OK from the Oregon court. Send info about the Idaho parenting class to the Oregon judge and ask for court approval to take the Idaho parenting class in lieu of a parenting class in Oregon. Judges will usually have no problem with giving the OK, so long as you ask for it in advance.
