QUESTION:

I have a child that was born while I was married to my husband. It was discovered that the child was not his biological progeny via testing done under duress and blackmail. The biological donor promised he did not want to ''do anything''. Now he is fighting us for more and more time while lying about income (so as not to pay support). The donor is narcissistic as well. Can we keep this person away from our child and how can we go about doing so?

ANSWER:

Maybe. More facts are needed in order to give you an accurate answer. Was the child born in Oregon? Was the date of birth prior to 1/1/2006? At the time you got pregnant, were you and husband living with one another? Was husband at that time capable for fathering children? Do you have a copy of the child's official, state-issued certificate of birth? Does it not show that husband is the father of the child?

BTW, if you do not want bio-dad to be involved in your lives, why are you concerned about his lying about income (so as not to pay support)? And just how did you end up cooperating with blood tests "done under duress and blackmail"? Obviously, I don't understand your situation.
